About The Event
Cold conditioning is one of the simplest and most accessible self development tools. It has been used for centuries for improving health. Also in many cultures it has been used in ceremonies and spiritual work. In modern times low temperatures are used for sports performance.Â

PROGRAM:
11.00 - 11.30 Registration and Introduction
11.30 - 13.20 Breathing exercises
You will learn how to:
- Optimise breathing mechanics and general breathing pattern
- Use breathing to achieve deep meditative states
- Practice meditation and breathing to improve focus
13.20 - 13.50 Break
13.50 - 14.20 Theory / Lecture
14.20 - 16.30 Ice bath
You will learn how to:
- Control stress response
- Use cold as ultimate mental training tool
- Use gradual cold exposure to increase cold tolerance
16.30 - 17.00 Closing discussion
NECESSITIES
Sportswear (comfortable clothing, yoga clothing), swimwear, towel, slippers, blanket, warm clothing for after cold exposure, bottle of water, yoga mat.
PREPARATION
If you are new to cold exposure, in the days leading up to the workshop end your warm shower with 30-60 seconds of cold water only. Begin with your feet and then follow with your legs, your stomach, shoulders, neck and back. Focus on calming down your breath. Don’t put your head under the cold shower, it is better to skip the cold shower on the head for the first month. This way you will become more familiar with the way your body reacts to the cold. Everyone can participate to their own ability and level of comfort. No pressure, just fun day of new experiences and learning. If you have any health conditions or concerns please contact us beforehand and/or check with your doctor. The goal of the workshop is share these simple and effective health and performance improvement tools.Â
FOOD
It is best to eat something light before the workshop. Tea, coffee, water, snacks, fruit will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own pack lunch or snacks.
